What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is after 4:00 PM and check-out is before 10:00 AM. Need an earlier arrival or later departure? Message us before your stay and we'll do our best to accommodate based on the cleaning schedule.

How many people can stay?

The home comfortably sleeps 8 across three bedrooms — a king, two queens, and a queen.

Is there a dock? Can I bring my boat?

Yes! There's a private dock with plenty of space. Bring your boat and tie up right at the house — you're on Kings Bay with quick access to the springs and the Gulf.

Are the kayaks really free?

They are. Complimentary kayaks are included with your stay — just paddle out from the backyard.

When can I see the manatees?

Manatee season peaks roughly mid-November through March, when hundreds gather in the warm springs around Kings Bay. Three Sisters Springs is the top spot, just minutes away.

When is scalloping season?

Bay scallop season in the Crystal River zone typically runs July 1 through late September. Dates are set by the state each year, so we recommend confirming the current season before you book a summer trip.

Is there parking?

Yes — free parking is available on-site.

Is there WiFi?

Yes, fast WiFi throughout the home.

Where's the nearest grocery store?

Publix Super Market at Crystal Springs Shopping Center is closest — about 2.5-3 miles (7-8 minutes), with a deli, bakery, and pharmacy. Also nearby: ALDI and Save A Lot for budget-friendly options, and Tony's Produce Market and Huffman's Heritage Whole Foods for local produce and specialty/organic groceries.

How far is the airport?

Tampa International (TPA) is about 90 minutes away; Orlando (MCO) is roughly an hour and 45 minutes.

Do you allow pets?

My Scallop Inn is a 100% pet-free property. To protect guests with allergies and maintain the highest standard of cleanliness, no pets or animals are permitted on the property for any reason, except as required by applicable law. Unauthorized animals may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation, removal from the property, and additional cleaning or damage charges.
